WAKASAOPTICS Densitometers

HOME > English > Densitometers

Generally speaking, there are 2 (two) kinds of densitometers. One is a transmissive (negative) type densitometer to measure irradiated and developed films, and another is a reflective (positive) type densitometer to measure exposed and fixed or printed photographic papers. We produce densitometers with both of transmissive and reflective functions, as a high performance densitometer and a spectral densitometer. And we produce straight transmissivity meters with which we can measure straight transmittance of multi crystal structure materials like ceramics.
Main features of our densitometers are shown as below, but they are only representative features for standards, and it is possible to carry out the individual customized specifications.

High Performance Densitometers

  1. Light source: A halogen lamp 50 to 100watts
  2. Automatic optics alternation function between a transmissive type optics and a reflective type optics.
  3. Automatic density measuring with the density range from 1 to 6, and is equal to from to 1/1,000,000 of both transmittance and reflectance.
  4. Color density measuring functions with which Red, Green, and Blue spectrums can be measured simultaneously.
  5. Automatic work handling to take a work in or to eject a work automatically.
  6. Automatic data editing.
  7. Data common use by a LAN.

Spectral Densitometers

  1. Light source: A xenon lamp
  2. Spectral wave length range: from 380 to 780nm
  3. Automatic optics alternation function between a transmissive type optics and a reflective type optics.
  4. Automatic density measuring for every wave lengths with a high speed scan on the 81 interference filters prepared at every 5 nm.
  5. Automatic calibration.
  6. Automatic data editing.
  7. Data common use by a LAN.

Straight Transmissivity Meters

What is straight transmissivity?
In multi crystal structure materials like ceramics, light is refracted when it passes the boundary of crystal pieces, and after passing by, it becomes a diffuse light. The ratio of straight light in the diffuse light is equal to the straight transmissivity. The straight transmissivity is varied under the surface condition and thickness of the structure materials.

  1. Light source: A halogen lamp 50 to 100watts
  2. The meter is used to measure transmissivity distribution of pipe walls made from various multi crystal materials like ceramics and so on.
  3. Calibrated with standard samples.
  4. GO/NG evaluations with distribution data.
  5. Automatic issue of data control materials and data reports.
