1924
Our company was established by Mr. Kichijiro Wakasa.
1928
The research about crystal oscillators requested by the Communication Ministry had started. Production models were manufactured during 1935 to 1942.
1931
Guild flicker photometer, Bechstein photometer, Macbeth illminometer were launched.
1940
The company name was changed to Wakasa Optics Corporation Ltd.
1945
Wakasa Optics Corporation Ltd. was dissolved by the World War Ⅱ.
1947
Wakasa Optics Corporation Ltd. was reestablished by Mr. Akiyuki Wakasa.
1949
Wakasa Optics Corporation Ltd. was incorporated as a limited liability company, and an organization to develop high end optical equipments was prepared.
in the 1950s
Light sources, densitometers, test equipments for surface defects, refractometers, brix meters, and protein meters were developed and launched.
in the 1960s
A test equipment for steel plate defects was developed and launched.
in the 1970s
Applying the photoelectric conversion technology, various types of readers were developed and launched.
in the 1980s
Light sources for CCD test were developed and launched.
1987
Wakasa Optics CO., Ltd. was incorporated again as a stock company.
in the 1990s
Light sources for CCD test were developed and launched.
2005
Light sources for Line Sensor test were developed and launched.
2006
The capital was increased to 22.6 milion yens in January, and increased to 52.6 milion yens in September. Light distribution measuring equipments were developed and launched.
2007
Plane distribution measuring equipments of plural refraction with Ellipsometry measurement were developed and launched. Light sources to manufacture screenmasks were developed and launched. Light sources for Image sensor test named WAC-701 were developed and launched for sales.
2008
Luminance distribution measuring equipments were developed and launched. Test systems with image processing were developed and launched.
